DESCRIPTION:
Tx23 is a compact wireless transmitter intended to control 3 model railway train engines.
It has controls for Speed, Direction, Inertia and Lights (depending on how used).
SPEED:
300° rotary controls with 'center click'.
Full rotation can give 0-100% motor control or they may be used 'center off' forward/reverse (depends on receiver).
The Speed knobs control Channel 1, 2 and 6 (Motors 1-3, left to right).
DIRECTION:
2-way switches for Direction (with receivers that have this capability).
Or they can control lights or other switched functions.
The Direction switches control Channel 3, 5 and 7 (left to right).
INERTIA:
300° rotary control with 'center click'.
32 step control over momentum/braking ranging from no effect to 30 seconds advance/retard.
The Inertia knob manipulates all Speed channels when they are changed.
ON/OFF:
Tx23 has an illuminated push-button on/off switch.
The Led flickers slightly while an Inertia transition is in progress.
The Led flashes more boldly when Binding.
BIND:
If a receiver has not previously been bound, it has to be bound to Tx23. Binding is only required once per receiver.
1. Put your receiver into Bind mode.
2. Press and hold the rear push-button on Tx23.
3. Switch Tx23 on and release the Bind button.
4. Binding is complete when the Led stops flashing.
TRAIN LIGHTS:
If not used for Direction, each Direction switch can be used to toggle 2 lights on some DT receivers (Rx6x and 'v5' receivers).
If only 1 or 2 trains are controlled, the spare knobs and switches can be used to control lights or other functions.
TECHNOLOGY:
Tx23 uses the 2.4GHz band which requires no frequency channel control and is very resilient against interference.
The Binding process ensures that your receivers will only obey your Tx23. Any number of receivers can be bound to your Tx23.
Range is suitable for indoors and small outdoor sites.
Tx23 is compatible with all DSM2 receivers which includes all DT receivers.
Knob and switch positions are transmitted as separate 'channels' (1-7) which must match those used in receivers.
BATTERY:
Tx23 is powered with a standard 9v PP3 battery.
It has some bare wires inside so care needs to be taken when installing the battery to avoid short circuits.
